Through its humanitarian partners, Trivani is able to leverage these funds into an incredible amount of care and supplies! Hello! Here's a little bit (or I guess a lot) about me. I was raised in Arizona. For college I moved to San Francisco, California to earn my degree (Bachelor's in Cello Performance). Currently I live in Utah. I'm married to David, a computer programmer/consultant/designer, and 'guru'. (He won't admit it, but I will toot his horn for him!) His specialty is websites and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). For the past 5 years we have been involved with over 10 different MLM's. With SEO we have found success with this method with 3 different MLM's, including now a fourth - Trivani. I have humored David with his choices in different companies. :) But Trivani is THE one! Trivani is helping us reach our long-term goals and desires, which you will read about below. In addition to our businesses, we have 5 boys. Our house gets very busy, especially when their friends come over! And our food bill is starting to get crazy! I enjoy many things, but at the top of my list is reading bedtime stories to my little ones, and (if I'm still awake) reading myself. Also I love teaching and performing cello in local groups here. The Utah Valley Symphony and the Utah Baroque Ensemble. Goals and ambitions are motivating and important in a person's life. As a child I always knew that I was going to be a musician. When I reached my teenage years I had a goal of attending a Conservatory of Music. After much sweat (a few tears, and a blood blister) I graduated from the San Franciso Conservatory of Music. Now that I've achieved that goal I am reaping the benefits of associating and performing in some wonderful groups here in Utah, and passing on my knowledge to a new generation of cellists. Besides music, I have another long-term goal that I have had since I was a teenager. At age 15 I thought starting a homeless half-way house would be "cool". (My parents were always boarding a needy soul trying to get back on his/her feet.) When I started dating Dave, the 2 things that impressed the most was (1) how well he treated his 3 year old neice, and (2) he loved humanitarian causes, i.e. Habitat for Humanity, and he loved my homeless half-way house idea. We would talk many hours about these things. We have a few other ideas that we want to start and grow, including giving private music lessons and instrument scholarships to promising young students in difficult circumstances. I know the power of music - the power of good and positive change it can bring into the lives of all it touches. As our children have been growing David and I are seeing how insane our consumerism culture is. Especially around Christmas time. Does a child really NEED all those toys? We are now wanting to show our growing children how the rest of the world REALLY lives. About 3 years ago we set out a timeline of summer "working vacations" for the next 20 years. We want to take our children to not just see the world, but to EXPERIENCE the world by lending a hand in every place that we visit. It is our hopes that when they get home from these "working vacations" they will understand when they reach the age of 16, having a new car is really not as crucial as others may make it seem. Most of our vacations are a combination of a family reunion and business trip. (This is because all my family are entrepenuers and we love to bounce ideas off each other, and how to make the current project even better.) "Working vacations" is what I call them. This is what I grew up with. I grew up in a self-employed home, and I married an entrepenuer. I have seen all the good and bad that comes with being a business owner. But the most rewarding part is being in charge of your destiny! I am so excited to be part of a company that is helping us achieve our humanitarian goals. And the most important goal is not just helping others, but helping to instill in the hearts of our boys a greater compassion for those around them so they will become men.
